Our fast-paced, instant-gratification culture has changed almost everything about how we live - including our prayers. We expect an instant answer from God. We also expect an answer that's exactly what we want. God doesn't operate that way. God is much more focused on having a relationship with us. As we look at one of Jesus' teachings, we'll see that relationships are always more important than results, even if it means what we see as an unanswered prayer.
