Welcome Home #3: A Place Where the Wounded are Healed | Pastor Dennis Miller
Tuesday Aug 30, 2022
Tuesday Aug 30, 2022
The Church is not a country club for saints or a self-improvement group for the privileged; it's an emergency room for hurting, wounded people. Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick." Today we will examine Jesus’ story of the Good Samaritan and reflect on our ministry as a healing community.

Welcome Home #1: A Place Where Jesus is our First Love | Pastor Dennis Miller
Tuesday Aug 16, 2022
Tuesday Aug 16, 2022
Jesus speaks of a congregation in the ancient city of Ephesus that had all the externals. They were a busy church with high spiritual standards. Their work had been difficult, but they had persevered. They sought to do good works in the community and stood for truth and justice. Yet for all they were doing well, Jesus had one major thing against them: they had left their first love. What does that mean for us? Status Quo #8: The Story Isn’t Over, We’re Writing Acts 29 | Pastor Karl Penn
Tuesday Aug 02, 2022
Tuesday Aug 02, 2022
The Bible is a closed book, right? A story with a beginning and an end? Something we look back on to be inspired by? Well, that's our first mistake...thinking Christianity is an open-shut case. It's time to challenge the status quo of resting on history. God is past, present and future. So are we. The story, OUR story, isn't over. The Book of Acts doesn't just fade silently into the night...it continues with us. We are writing the 29th chapter. Learn more about Ginghamsburg Church at ginghamsburg.org.

Status Quo #6: People are Never the Enemy | Pastor Rachel Kuhn
Tuesday Jul 19, 2022
Tuesday Jul 19, 2022
Most of us are ready for a good fight. When we are crossed or when someone crosses the people we love most, we are ready to pounce. The 19th chapter of Acts perfectly illustrates the chaos and confusion that blossoms with flared tempers. Here’s what we need to remember: PEOPLE are NEVER the ENEMY! Our fight is not with flesh or blood, but the principalities and dark powers of the world. Guest Pastor Rachel Kuhn from Tipp City Nazarene helps us challenge our status quo.

Status Quo #5: End Times | Pastor Mike Fitzpatrick
Tuesday Jul 12, 2022
Tuesday Jul 12, 2022
Being a Jesus follower in Thessalonica was a hard gig. Beyond the persecution they could potentially endure, folks were expecting Jesus to return any day, in fact they would’ve welcomed it. Perhaps you, too, find yourself looking to the sky for answers, wondering if these are the endtimes. Events in our lifetime would make it seem altogether possible – yet Jesus followers have been asking that same question for 2000 years. God’s answer: be faithful in the meantime.

Status Quo #4: Check Your Allegiances | Marcy Walker
Tuesday Jul 05, 2022
Tuesday Jul 05, 2022
This 4th of July we are reminded that our allegiance could never be to any country, any god but rather to the ultimate creator and savior Jesus and Jesus alone. Let’s lean into our one focus of allegiance and consider how we might be the incarnational presence of Jesus in the spaces and places we live. Status Quo #3: Dealing With Resistance | Pastor Mike Fitzpatrick
Tuesday Jun 28, 2022
Tuesday Jun 28, 2022
Somehow, we’ve taught people that church is the space where they come and cloister, a place of escape from the world. But that’s not the New Testament description. Jesus followers aren’t escaping the world; we’re engaging it and engagement isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes we’ll experience resistance from the outside, and many times resistance will come from within. The Rev Dr. Martin Luther King said it this way: if a man has not discovered something that he will die for, he isn't fit to live. Are you willing to lose your life-as-you-know-it for the sake of God’s mission? Learn more about the mission at ginghamsburg.org.
