When was the last time you stopped to marvel at God's incredible creation? A total solar eclipse is a once in a lifetime event for many people. But for God, it's another opportunity to showcase his brilliance as a creator and his incredible love for every human being on Earth. As we worship, our attention is not on the sun, moon, and stars, but rather on the one who created them. April’s solar eclipse speaks to our lives personally, revealing the hand of an intelligent Designer of the Universe!

He is not here. He is risen! These words were spoken by an angel on the morning of Jesus' resurrection. On that day, Jesus' closest friends and followers were afraid. They were hurting. They were confused. They were lost. In one moment those emotions were shattered and replaced with comfort, peace and most of all hope! That's what Jesus does.
Jesus has risen from the grave and he is alive. With hope he shatters our fear. With miracles he shatters expectations. With joy, Jesus shatters despair. This is why we celebrate today. In Jesus, we too can shatter the impossible.

Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week. Palm Sunday is also when we remember and honor Jesus as the coming King, the Messiah, and the Savior. But what truly marks how Jesus triumphantly entered Jerusalem was that he did so with humility. He didn't come with chariots and soldiers and great fanfare. Jesus came riding on a donkey, with his rag tag band of disciples. Yet, with that humility Jesus changed the world.
As we dive into the story of Palm Sunday, we'll see Jesus as he truly is - the humble king who cares about each of us. Power and wealth may create temporary change, but humility is what truly transforms hearts.

But when it comes down to it, for as much as we desire control, it feels like we’re playing a real life game of Candy Land. We just keep flipping card after card, hoping we can control the outcome. We desperately want to stack the deck in our favor, but there’s no way we can.
